Irritam-me...
Nunca assumem a derrota! Amo a Inglaterra.
Dear Mr. Andy Gray.

I read your comments this week on the Benfica-Man Utd game and I must say that I was disgraced by your comments, when you said:
"How can a team with so much talent, that is playing so well in their own league, lose a match that mattered so much against a club that wouldn't be good enough to stay in the Premiership?"
I will now present you with facts that show how self absorved and arrogant you english media are and that you thinking you are the worlds greatest is utterly wrong...
The so called club that wouldn't be good enough to stay in the Premiership beat Manchester United on Wednesday night without 5 (five) of its starting XI players. Them being: Moreira, Simão Sabrosa, Manuel Fernandes, Karagounis and Miccoli. And still we beat one of your all-time greatest football clubs, who are sitting at number 2 in your own league, with no injury what-so-ever. All of the great players were there: Rooney, Ruud, Ronaldo, Giggs, Scholes, Ferdinand, Van der Sar, etc... But still, we beat them.
Man Utd have 20 or 30 times more money to spend than any Portuguese Club has, and still in the last 3 years of the Champions League, 2 Portuguese teams eliminated them from the Champions League (Porto, who went on to win the Cup and now Benfica). And lets not forget thet last season, Sporting Lisbon threw out another 2 Premiership clubs in the UEFA cup (Middlesbrough and Newcastle), reaching the UEFA cup final. Last year, at Euro 2004, Portugal met England in the Quater-Finals of the competition. Who won the game, Mr. Andy Gray? How about in Euro 2000, when England were wining 2-0 vs. Portugal, who ended up winning the match?
How many Portuguese players play in the Premierleague? How many English players won FIFA's World Player of the Year since it started some years ago? Answer: none. Did any Portuguese player win the trophy? Yes. Figo.
In what country was the actual Premiership Champion Manager born in? Where does him and 90% of his co-workers come from? Portugal.
It is disgraceful that you should be so arrogant towards all countrys in the world in general, and towards Portugal in specific.
If you disagree, I would enjoy reading your own view and facts that prove that the English are far better than the Portuguese. Because apart from the 1966 World Cup (where Eusebio and Co were very unlucky, the game should never have been in Wembly) and Man Utd winning the European Cup vs. Benfica, also in the 60's, I cannot remember England ever being better than Portugal. We even beat you at Mexico 86.
I would appreciate it if you would think about this and show more respect towards Portugal, Portuguese Clubs and Portuguese Citizens.
Best Regards, Ric Jo.

Yep, I did it. But he hasnt answered yet. Dont think hw will, anyway.
Daniel (Dan?), I know he's scottish. But because he played almost his whole life at English Footy Clubs (Villa, Wolves, Everton...) and as he works at Sky Sports (which is English), I just basically refered to him as one.
But hey, I'm English too. Its nothing personal, its just something that annoyes me! There is a whole bunch of stuff in Portuguese people that also annoyes me ;)
